Week 39 (the FINAL week!)
29 Jul
*Week 39*
CURRENT STATS
Percentage Cooked: 98%!
Baby Size: 7 lb. 2 oz. estimate, as of Wednesday – GOOOO Baby!
Countdown to Baby: 1 week (273 days down, 7 OR LESS to go!)
Symptoms: How small ARE those piggy bones? My poor, swollen feet!
Hips hurt.
Hourly bathroom breaks.
LOTS of Baby movement!
I’m super hot, but I can blame a lot of that on our weather (that the non-pregnant me LOVES!)!
Cravings: Oreos, ice cream, jelly beans, Sierra Mist
Weight Gain: Well, I was up 37 lbs. as of Wednesday, but then lost a pound as of Friday – so 36 lbs. (this may be my last Dr. weigh in)…that’s right, it’s time to LOSE weight!
Related Purchases: Nothing exciting – hand sanitizer, a travel wipe holder, snacks for the hospital, more thank you cards
Fear of the Week: I’M HAVING A BABY THIS WEEK!
I have fear about our baby’s health and safety, but faith that God is fair and good and will protect us both. Prayers for this little one are welcomed and appreciated ♥
Relief of the Week: WE’RE GOING TO MEET OUR BABY THIS WEEK!
There is a plan in place…I promise to share it all (well, all to a point!) after the dust settles. Just know for now that we are having the baby this week…in a day that ends with “day”… but doesn’t start with an “s.”
What? I’m sorry! I am definitely an oversharer, but need to draw the line somewhere!!!
Randomness: Is it wrong or is it wrong to play “Only The Good Die Young” at an OBGYN’s office? I mean, it innocently came on the radio, but…seriously?
We have been very productive! Remember our house to-do list? Well, we killed it AND MORE (mostly over the past 2 months). Everything is checked off, except for some unnecessary items on the wish list (like getting a hanging plant for outside) and the washing down all of the baseboards etc. This house is ready for a whole new kind of chaos. ;)
Scott’s Quote of the Week: If only I could show you what Scott’s face looked like when he gave me a foot massage last night. It was the only one that I asked for throughout this pregnancy and it was well deserved! I swear, the swelling went down immediately! Why didn’t I think of this sooner? Poor Scott hated every second of it, but sucked it up (the hating, not my toes). He’s such a trooper – thanks, love!
Me [totally sad about how my face looks in a picture]: “Wahhhh”
Scott: “You’re supposed to look like that!”
Me: “Babe, I really wanted to wash down all of the baseboards in the house, but by the time I got to doing it – I realized that I waited too long. It’s really hard to get up and down so I just did it in the family room.”
Scott [totally kidding]: “ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I MEAN, WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING?!”
Haha – love him!
So I will be signing off for a week or so. I will catch everyone up as soon as I can. Please stay tuned…you know you can’t live without knowing if it’s a BOY or a GIRL and what we name this sweet angel!!!
xoxo

Good luck! You’ll be great! The whole process is not nearly as scary as everyone makes it out to be (this coming from a BIG whiner)
Can’t wait to hear of his/her arrival!
Sarah, I am so excited for you and Scott! It’s finally here – time to have that baby:)I’ve been following you for several weeks now, and have read all the way back to the beginning of your story. I know you have some fear and anxiety right now as the time approaches. I am praying for you, the baby and your hubs. Rest assured that you WILL have a beautiful, healthy, wonderful baby. Your story is so beautiful, and so encouraging to women (like me) out there, who lost their first pregnancies and have fear and doubt about getting pregnant again. Thank you for sharing your journey and GOOD LUCK this week!!!:) Can’t wait to see baby T!
I had/have this wild hair idea to move to Charleston, and came across your lovely blog in my googling. Just wanted to wish you all the best with your sweet bundle of joy on the way! Sending good labor vibes, and prayers for a safe delivery and healthy baby!
