Week 36
12 Jul
*Week 36*
CURRENT STATS
Percentage Cooked: 90%!
Baby Size: Approximately over 5ish lbs.?
Countdown to Baby: Less than 4 weeks (256 days down, 24 to go!)
Symptoms: My hips are starting to hurt. Widening? Or just having to sleep directly on them for all of these weeks?
Pressure down low. Baby getting ready for an exit?
I think I’m hitting my waddling high note. At least I hope I am!
Getting in and out of bed/getting up from laying down is hilarious.
My sleep schedule is all over the place! Get used to it, right?
I’ll stop, although this is just a start!
Cravings: Oreos, candy, ice cream, Root Beer
Weight Gain: 32 lbs. as of last Thursday (yes, I jumped 3 lbs. in a week!). I am officially up 30% from my pre-pregnancy weight. I may stop reporting on this. The extra weight didn’t bother me until I hit 30 lbs…and now it hurts. Bad.
Related Purchases: LOTS – including finishing touches to the nursery and comfort items for the hospital. The mobile I made is done and hanging and Mom has completed the glider. Wait until you see it! I’m just waiting on 2 prints to come in and then I can share the little love’s nursery with you all. Scott and I love it. It’s our favorite room in the house…we miss it sometimes and go hang out in there for no reason ♥
Fear of the Week: That I’ll be a big DUMBO and forget to ask about Baby T.’s position at this week’s appointment (today!). Duhh!
Relief of the Week: 3 more days until Baby is considered full term - yippee!
Randomness: The to-do/to buy/errands lists are all winding down. We are REALLY getting ready now!
Here are pics of some nursery details to hold you over…
We were ALL comedians this week! →
Scott’s Quote of the Week: [Me in my robe with my hair on top of my head at 9am after having only slept from midnight to 3am] Scott: “You look like Danny Devito.” Me: [exhausted laughter] Scott: “Seriously, as like the penguin or something.” Me: [exhausted laughter, not knowing what the heck he's talking about] Scott [later, looks something up on the iPad]: “You don’t look like Danny Devito – never mind.” Me: Okay! [Scott leaves. My turn to look it up on the iPad. I find THIS...]Oh no you di’ent!
[via text] Me: “Just looked up Danny Devito as penguin. I’m not sure we’re gonna make it to our anniversary!” Scott: “I told you I change my mind on that” Me: “Non retractable” Scott: “You’re a beautiful pregnant woman” Me: “Thanks love – still putting it on the blog” MOM’S Quote of the Week: “Your boobs don’t even look big anymore!” hahahaha DAD’S Quote of the Week: Me: “I got a REALLY bad pain in Kmart and thought, ‘please don’t let my water break IN KMART, of all places!’” Dad: “Sar, you really need be careful and start staying closer to home.” Me: “Dad, Kmart’s 8 miles away.” Dad: “You just need to start being careful and be closer to home.” Me: “Do you mean I should just stay home?!” Dad: “No, just closer to home. Like from here to Bojangles.” That’s .7 miles from my house, people. Glad we cleared that up! MY Quote of the Week: [In Harris Teeter, trying to reach and lift a watermelon. Wasn't going well. I find a fine gentleman unloading merchandise onto shelves.] Me: Excuse me sir…could I ask you a favor? Employee: “Yes, ma’am.” Me: “Since I’m already carrying a watermelon, do you think you could pick one up and put it in my cart for me?” Employee: “Well yes, ma’am. I think that would only be fair!” haha
Thanks for all of your support and for following us on this amazing journey. My pregnancy days are numbered; I don’t want to forget to say thank you for reading, commenting, and providing me with priceless advice. THANK YOU!

You are soooo close!!!
I know – eeek!
You’re mothers quote made me laugh out loud!!
Haha – I know!
I am so excited for you–and for us!! Only two weeks to go for us-Erica is 38 weeks–
I’m GONNA be a Grandma–so thrilled–
And your mother is right- Your boobs don’t look big anymore!!
That is SO exciting, Cathy! I’m ALMOST 37 weeks. Good luck with everything – I can’t wait to hear the news!!!
Haha – do not be fooled by the fact that the twins don’t LOOK big. Looks are deceiving!
Love the sneak peeks of the nursery. Word of advice from a mom of 4…don’t put a million brightly colored balls in reach of your small child unless you are at least 99.9% sure you want to pick them up at least 100 times a day…been there ;p
Haha, Staci! I realize that there are items in the room that I’ll have to change up once the baby is mobile. Right now – they’re just for show
