A Chip Off The Ol’ Block(s)
29 Jun
Yes, I was reaching with this post title!
So during Baby T.’s NY shower, everyone was asked to design a wooden block for this babe. I cannot let another day pass without sharing some of these gems! Let me just say – while the artistic ability varied among the group, the love and effort put into them did not. Check out my favorite blocks! For the record: I would’ve FAILED at this project, big time. I struggle to make a good-looking stick person. Sad but true.
There were…
…colorful blocks!
…Olympic-bound blocks!
…family-specific blocks!
…animal blocks!
…nature-themed blocks!
…”I love you” blocks!
…wisdom-filled blocks!
…New York blocks!
…South Carolina blocks!
…and one AWESOME Charleston block (all sides included on this one!)!
Here’s a nursery sneak peek to see some of my favorites on display! (Never mind the wires to the left…the big nursery reveal is coming soon – promise!)
How talented, creative, and thoughtful are my loved ones?!?!
Which block was your favorite? What would YOU have put on Baby T.’s block?
p.s. Please do not be offended if I did not share your special block on the blog. I couldn’t share ‘em all! Also, most blocks did not have names on them so consider me unbiased! xo
Beach Count: 76
Pool Count: 30 → Yes, this whale waded in the pool yesterday…and it felt GREAT!
High Temperature: 90°

My god….some of your friends and family were super creative! Some of those blocks are awesome! That was definitely a difficult and stressful job to say the least
love the sneak peak of the baby’s room too! Love you and can’t wait until this blog is filled with shots of the new family of 3! Sounds good, right?
I know, Jenn – I was super impressed with so many of the blocks! I CAN’T WAIT to share pics of the Trottier Trio all over this blog. He or she will be our newest CHARM of Charleston =)
They were all so awesome! You have some talented friends and family
I LOVE that first one with all the colors – that was my favorite at the shower… sorry I didn’t make one…
I wouldn’t have been very good anyway – my artistic abilities are non-existent! Can’t wait to see the WHOLE nursery!!
Like I said – I would’ve been HORRIBLE at designing a block! I think you were doing enough at the time, no worries! I can’t wait for the whole nursery to be done so I can share it!!! =)
OMG I love the blocks idea! That’s so cute.
I know, right?! So creative!
by far the cutest idea ever thought of!
and it keeps with the gender-neutral theme! love it! hope the 3 of you have a great weekend!
I know – I loved it! You 3 have a great weekend, too! (Don’t melt!)
