I’m not positive how old I was when I wrote this Christmas list (remember my list from 1996?). BUT, Amazon claims that said Michael Bolton CD came out in 1993. So I’m thinking I was 11ish. I surely was stuck between girl and tween. Holy cannoli! Personal favs? An apple pie just for me (I still ask Mom and/or Gram for this every year for every holiday!), my amazing musical taste, no fighting (whaaa?), a non-allergic puppy, and lots of different colored scrunchies.
6th grade was a ruff rough year. Rough ruff rough. No wonder I listened to Meatloaf. LOTS in common. C’mon – who else had this hot sweatshirt from Limited Too? I think I had it in 2 colors. I suggest not clicking this picture to make it bigger.
Part of the invite for the most fun bat mitzah ever. And no it wasn’t the only one I’ve gone to…well okay, I’ve been to 2. I saved the music note shaped pencil for a very long time. Love you, Lis!!!
A little middle school love note. Awwww. Don’t worry, I’ve hidden the humble boy’s identity.
Baloney? Phoney? Um – sorry dude – but I don’t date bad spellers! (Ha!)
Oh Lordy, I am one brave girl for putting up that 6th grade picture! Listen, be kind. At least you know I’ve come a long way! If you can’t laugh at yourself, you’re wayyyyy too serious! ;)
Anyone remember their ridiculous holiday wish list items? Any other 11 year olds ask for a robe? What a weirdo!
HAPPY WEEKEND! Don’t forget to laugh at yourself (after you’re done laughing at me, that is)!
p.s. Hurricane Irene is almost done with us here in Charleston. We just need to get through high tide at 6:30pm. Phew – we got REALLY lucky! Thinking of my loves in NY and beyond…be careful!!!
p.s.s. Might be hitting up the winery (Irvin House Vineyard) on Wadmalaw Island for the first time tomorrow. If so, you’ll hear about it!
