Huck’s Lowcountry Table
We frequent Isle of Palms (IOP) often, especially in the summertime. Part of the beach there is a County Park (aka: it has bathrooms and outdoor showers – score!). The other 2 beaches closest to us are Sullivan’s Island and Folly Beach. We frequent IOP and Sullivan’s the most and go to Folly Beach on occasion. I digress…a devoted beach-breakdown post is a must!
We’ve had drinks at the rooftop bar at Coconut Joe’s, but otherwise, we have only gone out to dinner twice on IOP. Both times, it was at the same yummy restaurant – Huck’s Lowcountry Table. The first time we went with Diane and Steve (friends from NY – “hi!”) and I had the crab cake dinner. Best.Crab Cakes.Ever. The second time, we took my parents while they were vacationing here in April (pre-the big move). Again, we were NOT disappointed!
Scott’s dinner (Mom’s too, I think!) - Crab Cakes, crispy seared, creamed Carolina Gold rice with spinach, roasted corn, fresh thyme aioli
My dinner - Seared Scallop Risotto, arugula, leeks, bacon lardons and corn
Dad got - Lowcountry Bouillabaisse, mahi, shrimp, mussels and oysters in a smoked tomato and Marsala broth with herb rouille toast. No pics, but I remember him liking it!
I’m officially drooling.
Both experiences at Huck’s Lowcountry Table were enjoyable and delicious. The waitress was sweet as can be (we had the same one both times; wish I knew her name!). And oh yeah, the view doesn’t suck…

Can’t wait to go back!
p.s. After writing the mug post, I found this mug and totally wanna buy it!
p.s.s. Seriously craving a cupcake from Cupcake. I do it all for the blog!!! ;)
