Happy Belated 4th!
We had a GREAT 4th of July weekend! We loved sharing all of our favorite spots with our great friends, Christina and Mike. We probably overdid it, but that IS how we roll!
SATURDAY – We wasted no time. We headed straight for downtown to Pavilion Bar (rooftop!) from the airport. At 10:30pm. (Listen, it was a short trip and we wanted to start it off with a bang!) Mission accomplished!
SUNDAY – We gave a little tour of Daniel Island, then had a beach day at IOP. We had dinner at Pearlz Oyster Bar on East Bay. WARNING: their Bellinitini has big muscles! I had one and then asked Christina if she wanted to sit next to my husband. Whoops! It sure was delish, though. Then, 50% of the table had oyster shooters…and I was one of them! (Martelle – you should be proud!) Remember when I had them the first time? Dinner was served and it was delicious. I had the New England Lobster Roll – I highly recommend it!
They had on their sexy lighting, so the pic is kinda sucky
Last but not least, we had Corn Fritters. It was my first time and I think I’m in love. (Sorry no pic.)
After Pearlz, we did some walking around and took this cute pic at Waterfront Park.
No, I didn’t reapply sunscreen that day. Shoot!
MONDAY – We went to Sullivan’s Island, had a beer at the bar at Poe’s, had a drink at Red’s Ice House at Shem Creek (saw LOTS of dolphins, yay!), made a lowcountry boil for dinner (Mom made yummy peach pie), and then went to Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park for the fireworks (next year we will get there last so we can leave first, instead of vice versa!). It was a busy but so-much-fun weekend! Thanks for coming, Christina and Mike. Can’t wait for your next visit!!! xoxo
It was a gorgeous night and view!
